so excited...

i don't think anyone can realize how excited i am about this semester. i have found my calling and am so excited to start learning about an area that actually interests me to the fullest. i have three art classes this semester and every single one of them are awesome. for starters, my software class is amazing...why, you ask, because i get to learn about photoshop, illustrator, and indesign, and for the tests, we have one-on-one reviews with her, where she asks us to show her how to do something on the computer and we demonstrate. that's like a dream test! i love showing people how to do stuff on the computer. in class, yesterday, she demonstrated to us how to clone part of an image and replicate it to another part of the image, and i caught myself say "neato" out loud too late, felt like a retard, but hey, for the sake of all mac lovers and graphic design enthusiasts, you would understand how i felt, haha. i can't contain myself and my excitement for this semester. it's so weird. i've never been excited about school. i've always dreaded it, but i am so looking forward to learning about art this semester. for foundations, i have dr. cox first, again, like last semester. we had to come up with a team name earlier, and i was just like "i vote superbad", everyone laughed, and surprisingly, that is now our team name. team superbad. my idea got picked out of a group of fifteen students, and none of them thought i was a weirdo. nice! goodbye "shy, loser kelly", hello "more outgoing, weird kelly". it's so great to finally be on that road of discovering my true self and actually being comfortable with it. the best part about this semester is that i get to have dr. korb for art history II, and hopefully like four more times for the other art history courses offered here. this semester, the class doubled in size, simply showing how awesome of a teacher she is. for it to be an art history course, everyone who has to take it actually looks forward to learning from her. she's the best. i freakin love her!

with all that said, you can obviously tell i'm overjoyed to still be at anderson and to be an art major now. this is like my dream semester and this is what i dreamed of college being like when i was in high school. i'm so satisfied with life right now, it's awesome, and i will end here because all of this rambling is probably boring for all of you reading. anyways, off to walmart! peace!

I'm glad that you have found your calling! It must make life a little less stressful.

Love you!
