spheres and apples...

right now we are doing value studies in foundations. yuck. i'm too much of a perfectionist to enjoy rendering spheres and fruit...or anything else for that matter. it's so annoying. anyways...here are the first two drawings we've had to do. tell me what you think. i think they are average/crappy/can-do-much-better. it takes so long and is so tedious, it makes me want to pull my hair out and if i couldn't listen to music while i sketched, i would die. don't get me wrong, i love art, and seeing the finished product after all the work is great, but boy oh boy, it takes forever!

all three are done in a range of graphite pencils, from 2H to 6B.
