projects...

as for the homework i was given to do this weekend. it is finished and ready to be turned in. i actually ended up liking both projects once i finished them. the first is for history of graphic design. we had to create our own illuminated manuscripts with lyrics from a song incorporated in it somewhere.


this next project is for drawing 2. we were to do a 7 degree concept with our "most boring drawing ever", so i began with my boring drawing...


i abstracted the apple into a sphere with the same light placement and shading done in graphite...


then i took the sphere shape and drew a beach ball with no shading in graphite...


then i took the beach ball and made a stencil. then spray painted that stencil...


i took the leftovers of my beach ball stencil and sprayed a negative image of the beach ball with black spray paint...


taking the concept of spray painting negative images of an object, i took a bunch of rocks and spray painted with black and burgandy spray paint...


then, to create the "most interesting drawing ever", i drew what was created by the rocks and the spray paint.
