headache...

i don't understand how coding came about. why couldn't it have been invented as this simple "photoshop" like tool where when you make it look a certain way, it's easy to make function? i'm having the hardest time building this site for a friend of mine. i'm going through wordpress but can't get my ftp client to login to my database so i can upload the theme and begin editing. if you have a solution, feel free to let me in on the secret. if not, then completely disregard that load of mumbo jumbo that i just said.
